Humayun’s Tomb

The location of so many graves in this vicinity is explained by their proximity to the Dargah of Nizamuddin Auliya. In fact even the tombs of Humayun, Isa Khan, Khan-i-Khana and all the other tombs located in this area are there because of Nizamuddin's Dargah.

Humayun's Tomb was placed under UNESCO's care recently as a World Heritage Site. These workers are carving out a new panel for one of the ornamental walls. Each one takes four months of meticulous, and poorly paid, work.
